What Is a Multi-Groove Belt?
A multi-groove belt, also called a ribbed or PK belt, is a power-transmission belt with several longitudinal V-ribs moulded along its inner face. The ribs give a large contact area on a thin, flexible body, so a multi-groove belt transmits high torque through small pulleys with very little slip or noise. It is widely used on automotive accessory drives, appliances, HVAC fans and compact industrial machines where space is tight.
