A Rubber Covered Belt for Grip You Can Specify
Grip is not one number. It is a combination of compound, hardness, surface finish and how the belt meets the pulley. Specify all four and the belt stops slipping without crushing the product.
We vulcanize the belt as one endless loop, then apply the covering in the compound, colour and hardness your application needs, and machine it to your drawing.
- Endless vulcanized loop with a covering bonded to the belt body
- Compound, colour and hardness selected for grip and product release
- Thickness held to the 3.00 mm target for even pulley contact
- Holes, slots, cleats and ground edges made to drawing
Why the Wrong Belt Costs More Than the Belt Itself
Most buyers compare belts by price per piece. Packaging lines pay for belts in a different currency: downtime, scrap, and operator time spent re-adjusting. These are the four failures we are asked to fix most often.
Slippage under load
Film draw-down loses registration, the seal lands off-centre and the jaw crushes product instead of sealing it.
Joint cracking
A spliced belt opens at the joint, delaminates under tension and fails long before the rubber itself is worn.
Size mismatch
Width or pitch tolerance off by a fraction is enough to make the belt track off the pulley and wear the flange.
Unplanned stoppages
Premature wear forces an extra changeover. One hour of lost line output usually costs more than the whole belt order.
What You Get From This Belt
Six properties that decide whether a covered belt grips reliably, or glazes over and starts slipping after a few weeks.
Custom rubber covering
Compound, colour and hardness chosen for your product, not a standard covering that happens to be in stock.
Seamless vulcanized structure
Endless loop formed in the mould, so the covering has no joint to peel back from.
Accurate thickness control
Target 3.00 mm with controlled deviation, so grip is even across the full belt width.
High-strength tensile core
Cord selected for your load and elongation requirement, so the belt keeps its length under tension.
Surface options
Smooth, ground or patterned to suit the product being carried and the grip required.
RoHS compliant
Compliance documentation supplied with the order.
Seamless Vulcanized Structure vs. Visible Joint Connection
The joint is where a conventional endless belt fails first. We build the loop in the mould instead of closing it afterwards, so there is nothing to open up.
Our vulcanized belt
- Seamless vulcanized structure
- No joint cracking
- Strong and durable
- Longer service life
Typical spliced belt
- Visible joint connection
- Rough joint workmanship
- Easy to crack or delaminate
- Shorter service life
Specification and Customization Range
Send a sample, a drawing or the pulley data. We confirm the matching structure, compound and tolerances before production, so the belt you receive fits on the first try.

Where This Belt Runs
Typical places on a packaging line where grip, not just drive, decides whether the belt works.
Incline and decline transfer
Carries packs up or down without them sliding back at the change of angle.
Hold down sections
Holds the product steady while a cutter, sealer or labeller works on it.
Sorting and merging
Grips the pack enough to move it precisely, without marking the surface.
Case packing infeed
Feeds collated product into the case at a controlled pitch and orientation.
Product drive on packaging machines
Drives the product itself rather than a conveyor, where slip means mis-registration.
Elevator and lift sections
Lifts product between levels with positive grip and no product damage.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I specify the covering hardness?
Yes. Compound, colour and hardness are made to your specification, or selected with our engineers based on your product and grip requirement.
What thickness do you supply?
Our standard target is 3.00 mm; other thicknesses are made to drawing or sample.
Can you add cleats or a patterned surface?
Yes. Cleats, slots, drilled holes and patterned or ground surfaces are made to your drawing.
Is the covering bonded, or glued on afterwards?
The covering is applied as part of the belt construction on a seamless vulcanized endless loop, so there is no joint for it to peel back from.
How fast can I get an engineering answer?
Technical enquiries are answered within 24 hours, including a covering and hardness recommendation.
