Can you supply RoHS, REACH or food-contact declarations for custom belts?
Short answer: Yes. For custom timing belts we can issue material declarations for the compounds, cords and fabrics actually used in your order, and we can arrange third-party testing such as SGS on request. What we will not do is describe those documents as a certificate for a standard we have not had the finished belt tested against. Tell us the regulation your market requires, and we will confirm in writing which documentation is available for your construction.
What documentation we can provide
Material declaration
A statement of the compound, cord and fabric composition with restricted-substance information, based on current supplier data and tied to the production batch.
REACH-style statement
A declaration of substances of very high concern above the 0.1 percent threshold based on supplier declarations, refreshed when supplier lists change.
Compound datasheet
Base polymer, hardness, colour and working temperature range for the grade used, so your compliance file matches the belt that was actually made.
Third-party testing
Testing of the finished belt against a named standard can be booked with a lab such as SGS, BV or Intertek. The report is issued by the laboratory, usually at buyer cost.
Declarations, reports and certificates are not the same thing

Buyers often need all three at different stages: the declaration for purchasing, the lab report for a customer audit, and a clear statement of limits for their own risk file. We are comfortable supplying each of them separately, as long as each one is labelled for what it is.
What to send so the paperwork matches your market
- The exact requirement, including the standard or clause number your customer or customs authority quotes.
- The belt construction: pitch, profile, compound, cord, cover and colour, or simply the drawing.
- Whether the requirement applies to the belt, the packaging, or both.
- Whether a report from a named laboratory is mandatory or any accredited lab is acceptable.
- Your deadline, because third-party testing adds days to the lead time and has to be planned before production.
