What warranty and after-sales support do you offer for custom belts?
Short answer: Warranty terms are written into the quotation for each order. Custom belts are typically covered against manufacturing defects, such as compound faults or dimensions outside the approved drawing, when they have been stored, installed and operated within the agreed conditions. Wear from misalignment, wrong tension or overload is not covered, and we explain that boundary before you order rather than after a claim.
What the warranty covers
- Material and compound defects, such as cover separation or cord damage that traces back to production.
- Dimensional non-conformance against the drawing or sample that was approved for the order.
- Shortages or wrong specifications shipped, replaced at our cost including freight.
What it does not cover, and why
Misalignment and tension
Most early belt failures trace to pulley misalignment or incorrect tension at installation, not to the belt. We supply installation and tension guidelines with every custom order.
Overload and abuse
Torque far above the design load, jamming, or running outside the agreed temperature range are drive conditions, not manufacturing defects.
Normal wear
Belts are wear parts. A belt that served its design life and then wore out is a successful belt, not a warranty case.
Third-party modification
Cutting, drilling, re-splicing or machining a supplied belt voids the coverage for that belt, because the construction is no longer the one we made.
How a claim is handled
- Contact us with the order number, photos of the belt and of the drive, and a short description of what happened.
- We check the belt against the retained production record and, if needed, ask for the belt back for analysis at our cost.
- If it is a manufacturing defect, we replace or credit according to the terms in the quotation. If it is a drive problem, we tell you what we found and how to fix it, even when there is nothing to claim.

Support that continues after delivery
- Repeat orders: we keep the technical file, tooling data and inspection records, so reorders are a part number, not a new project.
- Failure analysis: photos of a failed belt often tell us the cause, and we share the diagnosis even when it points at the drive rather than the belt.
- Spares planning: we can suggest sensible spare quantities based on the duty cycle you describe.
- On-site questions: written installation, tensioning and storage guidelines are available in English and, for most topics, in our other site languages.
